David Ruggles

President & Lead Network Engineer

David Ruggles holds an Associate of Applied Science in Network Administration and Support along with certifications from Cisco, Microsoft, Novell and CompTIA. He has been working in the technology industry for over 15 years and has been active in the open source community for over five. He believes that the Free and Open Source Software community presents a unique value proposition and works to assist organizations in leveraging that value to lower their Total Cost of Ownership and increase operational efficiency.

Having broad knowledge and experience in many areas of technology, he has led significant technology initiatives including:

  • Multi-site Network Installation and Management
  • Web Design and Programming
  • Advanced Network, Desktop and Server Support
  • Virus removal and repair
  • System Installs
  • Vendor Negotiations and Management
  • Monitoring system for over 160 hosts in three separate locations and in the Amazon cloud
  • Voice over IP solution handling 20 Million minutes per month
  • Development of a prototype for a Fax-to-email system on the Asterisk Open Source Telephony platform
